My love for baking began with fruit cakes. The fresh ingredients, warm flavors, spicy blends, varied texture, and house full of aroma during baking lured me in for the first time in my Grandma's kitchen. Glass full of milk and a huge piece of warm cake made my day. Now the milk has been replaced by aromatic hot coffee but fruit cake retained its spot on my table. Every year during festival times my kitchen brims up with variety of fruit cakes. My hands and eyes work like a child's in a candy store. They have rightly said, 'its difficult to give up your first love', now I know what it truely means. Hopefully I'll be able to pass this love onto my next generation as a family tradition. .
